COURSE CONDITIONS AND WARNINGS

Route marking alerts this week:

  • From Semeteš to Vrchriek, the terrain was fine

  • Luby - peak and descent towards the Ovsen family chapel - occasional puddles or mud

  • Section after the turn after the Nad Zápačov signpost to the right in the direction of Sedla u Lovásov - there is mud on the sidewalk, but it can be bypassed sideways (mostly on the right), the section is in better condition than in the past.

  • Ascent from Sedlo pod Lemešná, the ascent was without logging and, except for one place where water always sticks, it was quite passable all the way to the Barracks.

  • The section from the barracks to Stratenec is fine, the footpath on the slope above the barracks is worn.

  • The section on the ridge behind Stratenac, between Bukovina and the blue sign turnoff, was significantly muddy and slippery, cars were driving here.

  • Overall, the ridge was muddy in several places after the rains, the section before Portáš was already in better condition.

  • There was one fallen tree on the entire section between Semeteš and Kohútka, which could be bypassed.

  • The section from Kohútka to Krkosten was fine.

  • There is a large fallen tree on the trail before Krkostena, you can go around it from the left.

  • The descent from Krkostena to Papjské sedlo was not muddy, but there are a lot of stones and the section is very steep in places, you need to be more careful here. You must stick to the path that leads directly along the border and border stones and do not turn left from it.

  • In the descent to Papajské sedlo (link above) there are three large fallen trees that go around sideways.

  • The section beyond the Papajské sedlo, with the exception of a few muddy places, was fine.

  • The section behind Beňadín is slightly muddy
